We wish you a Happy Easter!

Are you a Book-aneer?

Now that “the spring has sprung,” you may want to spend more time outdoors (well, maybe after the city’s trees’ pollen production has subsided).  If so, why not plan one of your walks or trips to the park around a visit to the library? Whether you want to introduce your “little ones” to the wonderful realm of books, or whether they already love reading (or being read to), an escapade to one of our library’s storytimes may be quite an adventure!  Last week, Mrs. Donna talked about seeds and gardening, and this week, she will try to introduce you to her favorite pirates, and she promises they won’t be (too) scary.  Plus, she always shares with you some of her other beloved books.

So don’t dilly-dally!  We have the perfect times for you—after-breakfast and right-before-lunch:

Spreading the Cheer

Toys for TotsOur Toys for Tots box has filled up!  The Marine Corps volunteer has already been twice to pick up the toys, and today, one of our patrons brought gifts donated at his Open House Christmas party.  Thank you, all!  If you’re thinking of helping out, please remember that there are only a couple of days left to drop off your presents!

Final collection will take place on Friday, December 20, 2013.

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots

It is here!  The red metal bin has transformed itself into a white cardboard box, but the spirit behind it has remained the same: to help every child experience the joy of Christmas.  Please drop off new unwrapped toys at our library by Friday, December 20, and the Marine Corps Reserve volunteers will deliver the gifts to children in need.

What a wonderful opportunity to share happiness this holiday season!

Don't forget--collection runs through Friday, December 20, 2013.
