New Volunteer Orientation

Do you want to help make your community a better place?  Volunteer at the library!  We are holding a New Volunteer Orientation TONIGHT at 6:30 PM in our Meeting Room.  You will learn all about the different tasks volunteers do here at the library, including our upcoming Patron Count Week!

It’s still not too late to sign up for Patron Count Week, either!  Patron Count Week takes place March 12-17th and we need volunteers each hour that the library is open to the public to help count customers as they enter the building.  For more information about Patron Count Week, or to sign up, visit the library’s Information Desk!

Patron Count Week is Coming!

Patron Count Week is coming, and that means we need volunteers!  So what does that mean for you?

Patron Count Week is March 11-17th.  We need a volunteer to sit at a table in our lobby every hour the library is open to the public to count each man, woman, and child who enters.  Sound like a big job?  It’s not!  Anyone who knows their numbers is welcome to help out.  In between counting, you can even catch up on the latest celebrity gossip with a magazine or keep your nose in your favorite book!

If you are interested in learning more about Volunteering at the library and for Patron Count Week, come to our next New Volunteer Orientation on Monday, March 5th at 6:30 PM.  To sign up for Patron Count Week, call the library at 281-550-0885 or stop by the Information Desk.
