Friends Annual Book Sale & Raffle

BooksThe big day is coming - Saturday, 3/15 from 9:00am - 6:00pm.  The Friends of the Katy Library will be holding their annual book sale at the VFW Hall in Katy (6202 George Bush Drive).  As an extra bonus, there will be a raffle for two signed copies of Sue Grafton novels: "W is for Wasted" and "Kinsey & Me Stories".  Tickets will be available at 3 for $1.00 with two separate drawings after the book sale concludes.

Tax Forms Are In

Uncle SamThe 2013 tax forms and instruction booklets have arrived!  Check the display in our lobby for the form you need.  If we don't have it, stop by the Reference Desk inside to see about getting one printed.  Also, if you want the freedom of an expert doing your taxes - for free - come see our AARP Tax-Aide volunteers every Tuesday, from 12:30-4:30pm.  In case of a crowd, arrive by 3:00pm and you're ensured a spot in line.

SuperheroStarting February 3rd, the Katy Library's Genealogy Lunchbox is moving to a new time with a new name.  Every Monday, from 2:00-4:00pm the Genealogy Squad will meet to learn new techniques, help each other, and work on their own genealogies.  The last Monday of the month will feature a lesson or speaker on topics of your choice.  Join the Squad!
