The Week @ the Katy Library – March 15th Edition

Spring Break is upon us, and we’re celebrating at the Katy Branch Library with our 2nd Annual Dog Day on Saturday, 3/20 from 12-4pm.  We’ll have an exhibition hall with local dog-related vendors and organizations, rescued dogs available for adoption, dog crafts, and reading to dogs for the kids.  Don’t miss it!

Teens, this is the last week to enter our Teen Tech Week Internet Scavenger Hunt.  Show us you’re an internet whiz, and you could win a $25 Best Buy gift card!  And come hang out with us on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00pm in our Teen Room.  We have laptops, snacks, games, drawing, and sometimes movies.

Keep an Eye on Your Garden

The Bizarre and Incredible World of PlantsTake a look at a flower in your garden.  Pretty, right?  Well, take a look at the photography book The Bizarre and Incredible World of Plants by Wolfgang Stuppy, Rob Kesseler, and Madeline Harley.  I kept having to remind myself that I wasn’t reading a science fiction book.  Creepy… yet strangely beautiful.
