April Showers!

With April showers spotting around this month, some of us are getting ready for the May flowers to come. Are you a gardener at heart and love planting flowers or vegetables in your spare time? Would you like tips or ideas for a new garden or maybe improve your new one? Or maybe you are new to gardening and would like to learn how to start your own.  Well you are in luck because High Meadows Library has a collection of gardening books that can help you gather ideas, or maybe expand some of your own. Come by and visit us and check out some of the great gardening books in our collection. See something you like but isn't checked in? No worries, simply request the item and we'll hold it on our shelf for you.

Squirrel Time!

Come enjoy a magical morning of story time, puppet shows, and more here at the High Meadows Library. This Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. our theme for story time will be all about our furry little friends called squirrels. Come sit back, relax, and enjoy our puppet show, followed by silly songs and a craft where you can make a squirrel puppet of your very own! Our story times are open to toddlers and preschoolers alike. If you can't make it this Tuesday, don't fret, our story times are held every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. I hope to see you here!

Spring Cleaning 101

March 20, 2013 marks the beginning of spring, and with it many spring things. It's the time when you can bring out your swimming suits again, sport those spectacular sun glasses, wiggle your toes in the sand at the beach, and start your spring cleaning! Ok, that last one didn't sound very appealing but there is really no point in avoiding it. I know spring cleaning is just not one of those fun things you wish to do but do not fret because your local library is here to help. Below is a list of books that can give you great tips on de-cluttering and decorating. Give your home a fresh start this spring and stop by the library and check out these helpful books.

Book Date Update

Ladies and Gentlemen it is time to spill the beans. We are nearing the end of our blind date with a book program and we want to know how your dates went. Were they a little boring, not exciting enough or maybe a little too over the top? Give us the scoop. If you haven't participated yet in our blind date with a book, you still have a chance! Dating ends on Thursday February 14th so stop by the Northwest Library and pick up your "date" before we have to send them home. Also remember that the surveys are to be turned in before the end of this month so you can receive your prize.  So, how did your date go?
