Zombies Invade the Evelyn Meador Teen Isle!

They just keep coming back! On Wednesday (6/20) zombies once again invaded the Evelyn Meador Teen Isle thanks to this year's Zombie Make-up Party. Volunteer Cynthia, and Mr. Ash helped to apply the infection and zombiefy EV teens! It was great fun, and with luckily everyone got out safe, brains intact.

Super Smoothies!

The summer is heating up, and so are you! Teens and tweens are encouraged to stop by the Teen Isle and enjoy a healthy smoothie. We'll be blending a variety of fruits to make a delicious drink that is healthy too! They'll start being served at 2:30 pm. Ingredients are limited, so don't miss out!

Evelyn Meador Iaido Event in the The Bay Area Observer!

The Evelyn Meador Library's Iaido demonstration, featuring performances by Emily Egan Sensei of Clear Lake Iaido and her outstanding students, and your's truly, Ash Welborn of Shin Shin Ryu Iaijutsu, was a great success! We were happy to learn that Rebecca Collins of the Bay Area Observer was in attendance, and featured us in the following week's edition. Egan Sensei and I are looking forward to next year's demonstration.
