Bachelor Books: Become a more Eligible Bachelor and Get Ahead in this World

The one eligible bachelor on our reference staff has created an authoritative display of Bachelor Books for your November reading. He has gathered topics bachelors might need advice about, such as The Boyfriend Handbook, The Action Hero Handbook, and self-help guides like how to write a prenuptial agreement, do your own divorce, be a landlord, or beat a traffic ticket.

There are books on financial investing and more basic offerings like The Secrets of Casino Gambling and Beating the Odds. The way our bachelor sees it, "some guys invest their money in stocks or real estate; others invest it on sports betting or blackjack".  In today's economy, why not?

New Hours for our Drive-Through Bookdrop

Did you know that we have a drive-through bookdrop on the west side of the library building? From your car you can return borrowed items and, during library hours, pick up and check out reserved items.

If you drive down the hill toward our front entrance and turn left into the Faculty and Staff parking lot, you'll see the Bookdrop sign directing you. Turn right and follow the arrows.

While the bookdrop remains available 24/7, night access to the campus has recently been restricted. The road around the campus is now closed between 11:00 at night and 5:00 in the morning.

Welcome, Montgomery County Neighbors

Because we're located next to the county line, many of our Montgomery County neighbors live closer to our Harris County library branch than to a Montgomery County library. Please know, Montgomery County friends, you're welcome here.

Your Montgomery County library card is welcome, too.

Or you may get a free Harris County Public library card.

If you're eighteen or older, all you need to do is fill out a registration form at the Customer Service desk and show identification indicating your name, picture, and current address.

If you're under 18 you'll have to get an adult with the appropriate relationship and identification to sign for you.

So c'mon across the creek and enjoy our library services.

Need the Library on Sunday?

Our branch is open some of the longest hours in the County, but we are closed on Sundays. For your convenience our neighboring branch, the Barbara Bush at Cypress Creek branch will welcome you on Sundays from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

It’s located at 6817 Cypresswood Drive, just east of Stuebner Airline Road.

Y'all be sure to return to Tomball come Monday!

Smells like Teen Spirit

Explore the mysteries of adolescence.  One of our lobby displays this month highlights fiction and non-fiction about the various dragons that teens battle along their journey to adulthood. Oh, the angst...
