Invitation to Friends' Holiday Open House-Monday, December 13, 2010

 The invitation says it all! Please stop by the library on Monday, December 13, 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

Christmas on Main Street December 2

Christmas on Main Street in La Porte will be held this Thursday, December 2, beginning with the parade at 5 pm and entertainment at 6 pm. This will be the 23rd year for this annual event, which is popular with adults and children of all ages.
 
There will be free pictures of the children with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Five Points Plaza, sponsored by Walgreens. Vendors will be selling arts and crafts as well as Christmas food items. Clutch the Rockets Bear will sign autographs from 6 – 8 pm, and tour the street with Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph.

Thankful for Toddlers

Photo of Toddlers and Ms. Mandy at ToddlerTime, 11-18-2010This Thanksgiving we give thanks for the toddlers who come to ToddlerTime With Ms. Mandy at the library. ToddlerTime is a storytime held each Thursday at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. If you are a parent, grandparent, or caretaker of a toddler, please feel free to come to this special and delightfully unpredictable time! Toddlers in the photo are showing the Thanksgiving decorations they made on November 18.
