Job Search Seminars

Are you one of the many looking for a job?  Unsure where to start?  Baldwin Boettcher Library is having a job search seminar.  On September 9, 2009 the Worksource Solutions will teach you how to "Use the Internet" to find a job.  Then on September 23, 2009, the Worksource Solutions will help you "Evaluate Your Skills and Develop a Plan".  They will do this by helping you determine your marketable skills, learn to effectively communicate your skills and identify your employment priorities.  In addition, this seminar will help you identify effective ways to look for a job, create a job search schedule, and develop goals for your job search.  Join us from 2 pm to 4 pm on the 9th and the 23rd of September.  Remember this is a free program.  For more information and to register call 281-821-1320.

Tall Tale Cinema

Tall Tale Cinema has arrived at the Baldwin Boettcher Library.  The program will be presented once a month on Saturdays.  The next movie will be shown on September 12, 2009 at 2 pm.  This program was created to present the Tall Tales from Mary Pope Osborn's book "Tall Tales".  A "We the People Grant" gave us the idea for this type of presentation.  Come to the library, check out our "We the People" display and enjoy a good movie.

To Blog or Not to Blog

Whether to blog or not is not the question. The question is what do you blog about?   What will interest the customers enough to get them into our conversations. Since we are a library, I would like to tell everyone that our services are free! We offer a wide range of services from entertainment for your children, gaming for your teens and of course interesting programs for all adults.
