Romance is in the air!

Valentines is one of my favorite holidays.  No time off but lots of romance, love and special gifts.  Keep watch for all the wonderfully exciting programming the library will present during this month.  Make sure you look at the events calendar for Baldwin Boettcher to see if you need to register for the program, if it is a ticketed program or if showing up will work.  All the events will note if you must register or if it is ticketed.  If in doubt, call us at 281-821-1320 and we will help you with this information or get you signed up for the program.  Looking forward to seeing you in the library no matter what age as we have programming for babies to adults.

Infant Story Time

We are trying a new time for the working mothers and caregivers that can not attend our baby story time during the work week.  Please try to attend our lapsit on Saturday, Jan 23rd.  It is a wonderful chance to share your babies with others and actually talk to adults while the babies play and explore the books and toys in the room.  The moms, babies and story time provider will sing, read books and have a terrific time.  So join us for a new experience or an old one that will entertain your small bundles of joy.  We will see you at 10:30 am on Saturday, Jan 23rd and every other Saturday at the same time.  See you there!

The Mystery Continues

The new year will find us in Paris, France.  We will be looking at the book, Death du Jour by Lou Jane Temple.  The setting is in Paris and this book is part of the Spice Box Mystery series.  So if you like mysteries and historical fiction, please join us for our trip to 18th century Paris.  The book club will be meeting on January 20th at 2 pm.  Come enjoy a lively discussion and a crepe a la martine.

Gluten-Free Diet Program

Do you need more information about a gluten-free diet?  Would you like to taste test some recipes made special for the gluten-free diet?  Find out about some support groups that are available out there for those who suffer from the Celiac Disease.  January 26th at 5 pm, the Baldwin Boettcher Library will present a Gluten-Free Diet program which will offer some recipes for those who like to entertain. Come share your experiences with us.
