Bonnie Langan's blog

Thank you for your Patronage.

At this time the Baldwin Boettcher Staff would like to thank you for using our library services.  If you do not use the library, please come in and get a calendar of events or go on-line to check all the events that are happening at our branch.  The year has flown by and we have entertained, hopefully dazzled and given new hope to the low economy.  This next year, 2010, promises to hold even more potential for those in need of free services, programs and just some place to come hang your hat.  Remember to take advantage of our hold system.  If our library does not have it in stock, please feel free to request it from another branch.  Need something for your child or teen to participate in; feel free to come attend one of our programs.  Keep you eye out for the increase in Saturday programming for the upcoming year.

Young Adult CD's have moved to a new shelf.

To make things easier and give everyone an opportunity to view the CD's in the Young Adult category, the staff has moved this collection to Aisle 34.  They are now placed between the Adult CD's and the juvenile CD's.  Try one.  I think  you will find it entertaining.  Some of the authors included in this collection are P C Cast (House of Night), Rick Riordan (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), L A Meyer (Bloody Jack Adventures) and John Flanagan's (Ranger's Apprentice).  You will find these stories making your to work or home and exciting adventure.  Please come explore this new collection of CD's.

Holiday Open House

Keep the 12th of December open on your calendar for the Holiday Open House from 1 until 3.  More details to follow.

Mystery Book Club

Another fine mystery meeting has taken place at the Baldwin Boettcher Library.  Discussion of our favorite authors went well.  Next month, we will be meeting on December 23rd at 2 pm.  We will be discussing a mystery taking place in our favorite setting or place.  This may involve a rose garden, city or landmark.  The world is your playground.  Find a mystery with your favorite setting and come share it with the group.  During this meeting we will decide the January and February meeting topics.  So grab your magnifying glass, hat, pipe or whatever prop makes you a mystery buff and come join us.
