Native American Cooking Demonstration

On November 23rd, Ms Cindy and Ms Bonnie will delight the taste buds with several recipes from our Native American Cookbooks.  At 6 pm we will offer several dishes and have a simple demonstration on how to make Algonquian Maple Popcorn Balls.  So please join us for this cooking demonstration and sampling of delicious foods in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.

Native American Dance

On November 23, come to the Baldwin Boettcher Library to learn authentic Indian Dances and Folklore.  With the aid of a video by the Grey Eagles, and music choreographed and researched by Carole Howard, Princes Wa-Be-No-Que of the Chippewa tribe, we will try to learn the Corn Grinders Dance and a Rain Dance.  This event will begin at 2 pm.  So come one, come all to learn the Native American Dance Steps of old.

Teen DWI Program

On Saturday, October 17th, State Trooper Standifer will present a teen DWI program at 2 pm.  He will take us thru the steps of the drinking teen.  Find out how this alcohol affects your abilities to carry out the simple tasks of walking, talking and especially driving your vehicle.   See you on the 17th.

Hispanic Heritage Month Cooking Demonstration

Interested in cooking?  Want to try a new dish with a new taste?  Come to the Cooking Demonstration for the Hispanic Heritage Month.  On October 13th, at 5 pm come join us for a step by step presentation of "Spaghetti with pesto sauce".   We will not only learn how to make this delicious entree but we will have a tasting once the dish is finished.  Just like the cooking demonstrations on TV.  See you there.

Is there a Doctor in the House?

Dr. Mom is coming to the Baldwin Boettcher Library.  This program will tell you how to achieve and maintain optimum health through nutrition, natural remedies and essential oils.  Hopefully you will learn not only how to prevent but eradicate health issues.  Come join us on Saturday, October 10th at 10 am to discover your role in this health issue.
