TAX HELP @ YOUR LIBRARY

Free tax help provided by the AARP volunteers begins this Thursday, February 4th at noon. You may pre-register inside the North Channel Library starting at 10 am. Please bring your W-2's, last year's tax return if possible and any other important papers. We also have numerous tax forms available in the Lobby for your convenience.

TASTE OF AFRICA @ YOUR LIBRARY!

Come try a "Taste of Africa" as we celebrate African American History Month on Monday, February 1st from 3 to 5 pm in the Meeting Room. We will offer coffee, juice and finger foods from Africa so that you can sample the many flavors that traveled to America. If you were born in Africa and have special treats, photographs or items you would like to share with the community, please contact Carolyn or Christina. We would love to have you add to the fun! And for kids, we will have an African craft to make!

EXERCISE @ YOUR LIBRARY!

Need to shape up in the New Year? In addition to checking out an exercise book or video, consider volunteering at the North Channel Library. You can see all our new books and DVD's as you lift and shelve them! This will increase your mental AND physical agility! We are looking for the few, the proud, the brave adults who can help us shelve materials weekday mornings. Ask for Christina or Carolyn to volunteer. Start your day out right with a Library workout!

LEARN ARABIC @ YOUR LIBRARY

Are you interested in learning the Arabic language? Then come to the North Channel Library this Saturday, January 16th,  at 11 am. We have a volunteer instructor who speaks and writes the Arabic language fluently. If enough people come to show an interest in learning Arabic, we will schedule more classes. Make your participation count! See you @ the Library this Saturday!

PROCTORING @ YOUR LIBRARY

Do you need to have a test proctored? Please contact us to see if we can help you. If you are studying on your own online, but still need to have your final exam protored, we may be able to help. Call us or come in to speak to us about the requirements of your educational group. If we are able to protor your test, the most appealing factor is that we offer this service for FREE at the North Channel Library! We also have quiet Study Rooms that you can reserve for testing.
