Creative Writing Club @ Your Library

Do you have a creative streak--and yearn to write? Poetry? Fiction? Join your fellow creative writing enthusiasts at the North Channel Library this coming Friday, June 25th, at 4 pm in the Meeting Room. Librarian Kelly H. Blub! Blub! Preschool kids and parents, join us for swimming and camping stories next Tues. June 22nd at 1:30 pm. After the stories, special guests will help you make your own piggy bank! Plus light refreshments will be served! See you there!

HEAR DRUMS @ YOUR LIBRARY!

On Wednesday, June 9th at 2:30 pm, come to the Children's Area to hear African tales told to the sound of drums! You will get a chance to help beat the drums during the program.  This program is designed for children. No free tickets are required. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

We hope that you enjoy the Memorial Day holiday! The North Channel Branch and all Harris County Libraries will be closed both Sunday, May 30th, and Monday, May 31st. We will reopen Tuesday, June 1st, at 10 am. If you need to renew materials, please remember to phone the Renewal Line at 713-747-4763 or visit our website at:  www.hcpl.net  You will need your library barcode number and 4 digit PIN to renew using either of these services. If you return materials to the Book Drop, do NOT leave them on the Front Porch if the Book Drop is full. Please keep your materials. When you bring the materials back once we reopen, just let us know that the Book Drop was full and we will waive your fines. See you after the holiday!
