BABY TIME FUN!!

If you have little ones, join us for Baby Time each Thursday morning at 10:30 am. This short interactive program introduces board books to children. Plus we sing songs, dance and play with the parachute! Toward the end of the brief program, we open the toy box for fun time with educational toys, including building blocks. And we end each program with bubbles!! The babies love to watch the bubbles, try to touch them and pop them! Bring your little one to join us!

REMEMBERING KERMIT RENEAU

Through the generosity of The Community Advisory Panel to Lyondell and Equistar, several new books are now part of the North Channel Library collection. These include: The Hogg Family and Houston: Philanthropy and the Civic Ideal by Kate Sayen Kirkland, Galveston: A City on Stilts by Jodi-Wright-Gidley and Jennifer Marines, In Ike's Wake: Southeast Texas Endures Hurricane's Devastation-a pictorial account by the Photojournalists of The Beaumont Enterprise and Galena Park: The Community that Shaped It's Own History by local authors Roger Leslie and Sue Elkins Edwards. These titles were selected to honor the memory of community leader, Mr. Kermit Reneau. We invite you to come to the Library to see these books. We also invite you to remember loved ones with memorial books. Please ask to speak to Branch Librarian, Carolyn Dial, about memorial books.

DISPLAY YOUR COLLECTIONS!!

Do you have a favorite collection you would like to display? Our lobby display case is an option for you. Previously, we enjoyed "Mayberry USA" and "M & M Collectibles." Please contact Librarians Christina Thompson or Kelly Hall if you have a collection you can share with us for one month. Please phone us to discuss the details: 281-457-1631.
