Children from the Tomball Library Children's Garden Club learned to use Kale grown straight from the garden to create a delicious snack chip just as delicious and much more nutritious than regular potato chips. With no oven in the library the challenge was on to create chips that tasted like they had been baked in the oven, with nothing but a microwave. After much experimentation with various online recipes the following method was finally chosen creating perfectly crisp and crunchy Kale chips that were enjoyed by the children, teen volunteers and staff.
