Five Green and Speckled Frogs...

Mouse Paint with Para Los Ninos

The North Channel Library had a visit this morning from the Children's Museum of Houston as they presented their Para Los Ninos program.  In this session, we read Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh and then mixed and created our own color creations!  Next week we will be back to our regular Tuesday morning Toddler Time storytime geared toward children&nb

New color on the walls!

It's sunny outside and sunny inside at Galena Park!  Our walls are being painted a bright and happy yellow.  The wall behind our circulation desk and the wall in the children's department will stand out now that they are a new color.  We can't wait for you to see your library, but don't forget you can always visit our other library branches like our Jacinto City and North Channel branches.

New outside wall for computer lab

Our renovations are moving along!  The outside of our new computer lab is almost complete with the brick wall almost complete.  Soon it will be ready to start work on the inside.  Don't forget to visit us at our other Harris County branches while we wait for our renovations to be completed!

Tween Time Fun @ North Channel!

Wondering what Tween Time is all about?  It's about all kinds of things!  Last week we made geometric sculptures out of straws and paper clips while enjoying delicious snacks.  Next month, who knows what we'll be doing.  It could be crafts or science experiments or cooking or a mystery activity!  You'll have to come to our next Tween Time program on Wednesday, April 25th at 4:30 pm to find out!

Inside the computer lab

Last week we showed  you a picture of the outside of our new computer lab.  Today, we have a photograph tracking the progress inside our new computer lab.  It's mostly just wood framing now, but soon it will full of new computers for your use!  Don't forget that while Galena Park library is closed you can visit any other Harris County Library branch, such as our Jacinto City or North Channel branches.
