Still time for tax help @ North Channel

Have you been putting off preparing your taxes?  If so, now is the time to come to the North Channel Library. Each Thursday from noon to 4 pm, the experienced pros from AARP will be here to prepare tax returns for low income and elderly customers. Please bring your tax return from last year as well as your W-2's and other papers for this year. You may sign-up as early as 10 am each Thursday!

Galena Park Closes this Saturday for Renovations

It's finally time. Galena Park Library will close this Saturday, March 3rd at 1pm for renovations.  When we reopen, we will have a fantastic new computer lab as well as a fresh coat of paint and new carpeting.  While we are closed and getting spiffy, you can visit our neighboring Jacinto City or North Channel Branch Library for any of your library needs.  Any holds not picked up by Saturday will be sent to the Jacinto City branch.  We can't wait for you to see what we look like in a couple of months!  Se

It's time for another animated flannel board!  This week we are featuring a short animated version of the classic Mother Goose  nursery rhyme, Hey Diddle Diddle.

Hey, diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;

Valentine's Day Card Craft at Galena Park

Kids, Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  Who will be your valentine?  Mom? Dad? Grandma or Grandpa?  Your best friend?  Or maybe even your favorite librarian!  Show them your appreciation and love with an original creation made by you!  We'll be making lovely Valentine's Day on February 14th from 3-5 pm.  Come join us!
