St. Patrick's Day Craft

Looking for something fun to do during Spring Break?  Come to the library on Wednesday, March 16th @ 2:30 for a fun St. Patrick's Day craft!  We will be creating Lucky Leprechaun Puppets.  See you there!

Book Sale this weekend

Are your bookshelves looking a little bare?  Then fill them up with goodies at this weekend's Friends of North Channel Library Book Sale!  All day Friday, Saturday, and Monday our meeting room will be transformed into our monthy book sale.  All funds raised from the book sale go directly to the North Channel Library and help fund children's programs, buy books, and other materials needed by the library.  So check us out this weekend and thank you for your support!

Then make sure to attend tonight's program "Starting Your Own Busines" at 6:15 pm.  This free program will be presented by the San Jacinto Small Business Development Program.  They will provide lots of great advice to anyone looking to set out on their own.  Check it out tonight, Monday, February 21st at 6:15 pm.  And don't miss our program on "How to Write a Business Plan" to be presented on Monday, March 28th @ 6:15 pm.

Do you have a general legal question? Join us this Saturday, February 19th from 11 am to 12:30 pm for some legal guidance from a local lawyer on topics ranging from personal injury to landlord/tenant issues.

Join us this Wednesday as Puppet Pizzazz performs "African Tales" in celebration of Black History Month!  Mr. Greg, a master puppeteer, created a new show based on his recent travels to Sudan.  Join us for this high energy performance on Wednesday, February 16th at 4:30 pm.

Texans love libraries!

What do library services mean to you?  Do you check out books or movies?  Use our computers?  Attend our free computer classes?  Check out our programs for children, teens or adults?  Or just come to meet with groups or friends?  We are asking you to help us tell the Texas legislature how much library services mean to you.  Between now and February 10th you can fill out a postcard that will be presented to the Texas legislature on TLA Legislative Day.   Check out our Texans Love Libraries display to pick up a postcard. You can also fill out an online survey to make sure your voices

Opera to go at North Channel!

We are very excited to present a performance of Opera to Go by the Houston Grand Opera.   Join us at the library on Wednesday, January 19th at 4 PM as Opera to Go presents "Opera Cat." "Opera Cat" will be mostly sung in spanish and is based on the book by Tess Weaver.   This performance is purrrrfect for all ages!
