Keep your pets safe and healthy!

Did you know that Harris County has a department devoted to keeping pets and people safe?  The Harris County Veterinary Public Health Division (HCPHES) can provide you with information about how to create a safe and healthy environment for animals and people.  The library has several informational brochures available on keeping your pets safe during hurricane season, how to approach animals you do not know, and more.   Also, check out our display on pet books.  Got a dog or cat?  Find out how to care for them.  Interested in acquiring a rabbit, ferret, or a basilisk?  We've got you covered.  Remember, a healthy pet is a happy pet!
