Coming Clean

My husband, recently told me that I buy cleaning products like most women buy shoes. At first, I denied it. Then, I took a closer look at my cleaning cabinet, and  I realized that it was stuffed with items I don’t even like.

Art Currently on Display

Student art work from Fall Creek and Eagle Springs elementary schools is currently on display in the Children's Department.

Creative Corner

Everyone knows that art activities are fun.  Did you know that they also help build skills such as; creative thinking, spatial awareness, problem solving? You can extend your child's learning experience by reading books about art, and visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.  MFAH, is a family friendly environment that encourages both adults and children to explore and discover. They even provide weekly activities and storytimes!

Choosing The Right Storytime

At the Atascocita Branch Library we have several storytimes a week. So, you might wonder which program is right for your child?

Ms Susan and I have created storytime programs that progress as your child grows.

Books in Bloom

The books listed below are ones that I enjoy reading each spring. My favorite book on this list is Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. This story is about a little girl named Alice, who becomes Miss Rumphius, or  a.k.a. "the lupine lady." Her goal for herself and others is to make the world a more beautiful place. This classic picture book offers charming illustrations and a meaningful message for everyone.
