Stringing beads (or in this case fruite flavored cereal) is a fun craft activity that encourages early literacy skills.

Below are a few books that will extend your storytime experience.

Happy Presidents' Day

Garden Party Craft

Last week's storytime for pre-schoolers was so much fun. I was able to fill in for Ms Susan and, it was wonderful  seeing many friends that started in my Babytime.

To extend the experience for your child I have listed a few of the books that I thought you might enjoy.

This week,  Ms Susan will be reading Valentine's books, and a holiday craft will follow the program.

Exciting News!

Jerry Pinkney is the first individual African American to win the Caldecott Medal award!

Skinna-Marinky Dinky Dink, Skinnamarinky Doo...

Children attending Twilight Tales (Family Storytime) made Love Bugs for Valentine's Day. In case you missed the fun, I've included a few books that you might like to checkout.

Celebrate Black History Month with Books!

I have created this booklist to include both non-fiction and picture books for elementary school students. Often, picture books are discouraged for children who are past pre-school. This booklist demonstrates that picture books are an effective tool for children of every age, and especially when teaching historical material.
