Pokémon Club this Thursday!

 Hello Pokémon fans! This is a friendly reminder that Children ages 7 to 10 years old are invited to join our Pokemon Club.  This meeting will be a great opportunity to meet other players and share ideas. Please make sure to bring your Nintendo DS, games, trading cards, and anything else you would like to share and discuss. Parents are not required to attend, and may visit the library during the program. 

When: Thursday, Sept. 26 @ 4pm

Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

Observed by numerous cultures throughout Asia, the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival was on September 19th this year.  I was lucky enough to hear about this holiday from someone who was planning to celebrate, and I also had the opportunity to sample traditional Chinese moon cakes (pictured below).

Betty Skelton a Women of Character

I just finished reading Daredevil: The Daring Life of Betty Skelton Meghan McCarthy, and wanted to share it with you. This picture book biography has fun illustrations that children will enjoy, and it's well worth your time to check out.
