AARP volunteers will be at the library again this year to assist customers in preparing their tax returns.
Over a million readers of all ages and ethnic groups across the United States are expected to participate in the twenty-third annual African American Read-In. The Barbara Bush Branch Library and the E.B.O.N.Y. organization will join forces as official sponsors of this event locally. The goal is to make the celebration of African American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month Activities.

orce Solutions Job Search Seminars will continue in 2012 at the library. On Thursday, January 5 @ 1:30 pm Workforce Solutions will present a seminar on creating resumes and completing applications. The focus will be on online applications, since that is the way most are done these days. There will be another seminar on Thursday, 19 @ 1:30 on networking and using the Internet to job hunt. Registration is not required. Just drop in.
