Workforce Solutions Job Search Seminars at the Library

Workforce Solution will bring their job search seminars back to the library this fall.  They offer several different programs from making a job search plan, to writing a resume tips, and classes on how to score well at the interview.

September 6--1:30-3:30 pm:  Evaluate your skills and make a job search plan.

No registration is necessary.  Just drop in.  The program will be held in the Earl Elliott Meeting Room of the library at 6817 Cypresswood Drive in Spring.

Senior Game Morning

The Adult/Senior Games Morning will meet every Wednesday from 10:00 am - noon.  Come and play dominos, traditional and Chicken Foot or Rummikub with others in the community. Meet new friends or bring a friend.

Genealogical Research Database Demo

Climbing your family tree to do some family history research?  Need to consult the U. S. Census?  Come and learn how to use HeritageQuest and Ancestry.com at our Genealogy Research Database Demo on Friday, August 10@11:00 am in the Barbara Bush Library Friends Computer Lab.

E-Books, E-Readers, and E-Audio Demo

Come and see how to use the Digital Media Catalog and OneClickDigital (only audio books).  Learn how to download e-books as well as e-audio to your computers and mobile devices.  The E-Reader and E-Audio Demo will be held on Tuesday, July at 11:00 am in the 2nd floor computer lab.

This class is now offered on the 2nd Tuesday of each  month at 11:00 am.

Ya Poetry Slam

Join us for a lyrical night where teens will read poetry in a "coffee shop" setting. Teens may read their own work or poetry written by another. Coffee, hot tea and snacks provided.  **Please register if you plan to attend.**
