Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

House on Mango StreetJoin us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a children's craft. Make your very own maracas this Saturday at 3:00 PM! If crafts aren't your thing, join us at our Reader's Perspective Book Club, September 20th at 2:00 PM. We will be reading The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. We look forward to seeing you in the library!

Laptops in the Library

hcplDid you know that Northwest Branch Library has six laptops that can be checked out at the Circulation Desk? These laptops are for two hour use inside the library. All you need is a library card that is older than thirty days and you can snuggle up on your favorite sofa and click away! So, if you are not the type that likes a traditional desktop, come and check out a laptop!

Books Clubs - We have them for everyone!

Book Worms

Did you know that the Northwest Branch offers four different book clubs? We have an Inspirational Book Club that meets the 1st Monday of the month at 2:00 PM.  We also have a book club for the person who loves to talk to other bibliophiles but hates the pressure of having to read a certain book by a certain time. Join the Bookless Wonders the 2nd Monday of the month at 2:00 pm! If that is not your cup of tea, how about a popular fiction book club called Reader's Perspective which meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 2:00 pm? Want to read the classics, but just can't find the time? Come to Classic Reader's on the 4th Monday of the month? Please contact the library for this month's book selection.
