Send Seasonal Wishes to Afghanistan. Holiday Cards for the Marines Collected.

Fourth of July Pictures

Did you draw a picture for our Marine Unit to celebrate the Fourth of July this past summer? Well, we heard back from them. They very much enjoyed your thoughts and pictures. They even sent us a few photos of your drawings hanging in their barracks! This time we are collecting drawings and holiday cards to send in time for December. So get out those markers and crayons and get creative. We will need the cards by the end of October; the sooner the better so we can ensure they get there in time for Christmas. Why not take a moment and send a Marine a little bit of holiday happiness!

Viva Panama!

FlagWhile on a recent visit home to Panama, Northwest Library Patron and Community Educator, Nidya Pitti Granadino, worked with several local children in preparation for the wonderful art show that is currently being installed in the library. On Saturday, November 19th at 2:00 PM, Nidya will be at our library to discuss the beautiful country of Panama! Learn about the food, the folks and the cultural importance of Panama on our greater global community. Also, this year we invite the children of Northwest Library to draw pictures for the children of Panama. We will be collecting artwork from the patrons of Northwest with the theme of "Where I Live." So if you would like your children's artwork to go to Panama, drop it off at the library!
