CHRISTMAS WITH THE R.E.A.D. DOGS

                           On Saturday, December 11 from 3:00 to 4:00, the Reading Education Assistance Dogs will be at the Katy Library once again to celebrate the holiday season.    Sign up to practice your reading with one of these adorable dogs.  Stop by the reference desk or call 281-391-3509 to register.

MULTILINGUAL STORYTIME

                          Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks.  We will be celebrating all we're thankful for in our Multilingual Storytime on Monday, November 22 from 11:00 to 11:30.   Children, aged 3- 6 will hear Thanksgiving stories and make "thankful" turkeys.

LADIES NIGHT OUT IN KATY

Discover the heart of Katy!  Visit Old Town Katy for Ladies Night Out on Thursday, November 11 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Take I-10 West and exit 742.  Businesses in Old Katy will celebrate with live music, refreshments, shopping, and special sales.   For more information call the Pink Safari at 281-347-7465.

READ TO DOGS

     It's not too late to register to read your favorite Halloween story to one of the R.E.A.D. dogs.  They will be here Saturday, October 30 from 1:00 to 2:30.   They can't wait to hear stories about ghosts and goblins, so sign up by calling 281-391-3509 or stopping by the Katy Library Reference Desk.  You can even wear your costume!

HALLOWEEN WITH THE DOGS

     The R.E.A.D. dogs willl be in the Katy Branch Library on Saturday, October 30 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm, and they're ready to celebrate Halloween.  Come on in and read your favorite scary story to one of them.  The Reading Education Assistance Dogs are trained therapy dogs.  These dogs, along with their handlers provide an irresistible, fun enviornment for children to practice their reading skills.  Registration is recommended.  Call 281-391-3509 or stop by the reference desk.
