Texas Bluebonnet Books

2 X 2's

Has your child's teacher requested that your child read a 2 X 2 book?  If so, the Katy Branch Library has them.  If not, you might want to check them out.  The 2 X 2 reading list is a project of the Texas Library Association.  Books on this list are recommended for children age 2 to grade 2, and there are some great books on the list this year. One of my favorites is The Doghouse by Jan Thomas. The book with bright colorful pictures and a cute storyline is irresistible.  I don't want to give the story away, so stop by and read it for yourself.  Pick up some other 2 X 2's while you're here.

Colorful Storytimes This Week

Storytimes at the Katy Branch Library this week will feature colors.  Books will include Dog's Colorful Day: a Messy Story About Colors and Counting by Emma Dodd and Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh.  Join us for songs, dancing, stories, and a colorful activity.
