Book Club reads "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton

Join the Kingwood Library Book Club on a journey through generations and across continents as they read about two women who try to uncover their family's secret past in "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morton.  Our book group, which usually meets on the third Monday of the month, will meet on Monday evening, January 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the library Meeting Room.  All are welcome!

"Downton Abbey" Fan Alert!

The Great War is over, but intrigue and romance still grip the estate as Masterpiece Theater's "Downton Abbey" begins its third season!  Come join with others to talk about the Season 3 opener on Monday, January 7, at 1:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. in the library's Conference Room.  Refreshments will be provided.

Learn to Borrow Library eBooks for Kindle Devices!

This Friday, December 14,  we will present two classes on downloading free eBooks from the library to your Kindle device!  The first half of each class will cover the HCPL Digital Media Catalog and searching for books. The last half of each class will cover the downloading process.  Join us @ at 1:30 PM  for the Kindle Fire; 3:00 PM for other Kindle devices. These free classes require registration. Evening Excel Class Offered

We will be offering an evening class on Microsoft Excel 2007 on Monday, January 10, at 6:30 P.M.  Learn the basics of MS Excel as you create your own project. This free class will be held in our Computer Lab on the second floor. Registration is required. To register, stop by our Adult Services department or contact the library at 281-360-6804. .
