Toastmasters Present Books to Kingwood Library

Lanelle Johnston, Area Governor of Toastmasters International (District 56, L41), presented the Kingwood Branch Library with the following books in honor of three members:

  • "The Truth About Leadership" by Kouzes & Posner: 
  •      for George Garrett, Kingwood Toastmasters 
  • "The American Spirit" by Edwin Feulner: 
  •      for Cheri Dyer, Insperity Toastmasters
  • "How To Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie: 
  •      for Mike Meyers, Deer Toastmasters

The following computer classes are being offered during the month of November!

Early Voting Underway!

Early voting for the November 6 general election is underway at the Kingwood Library!  Parking has been at a premium for local residents seizing the opportunity to vote early.  Patrons may want to take note of the following Early Voting schedule, as days and times vary:

  • Monday, October 22 - Friday, October 26    8 AM - 4:30 PM   
  • Saturday, October 27    7 AM - 7 PM
  • Sunday, October 28     1 PM - 6 PM
  • Monday, October 29 - Friday, November 2   7 AM - 7 PM

"Images of Fall": a Photography Workshop

Come join us on Saturday, October 20, for a free photography workshop!  Kingwood Photo Club's Vincent Palmisano will be sharing tips on how to use your camera to obtain the best fall colors. This program will be held in our Computer Lab from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  For more information, please call the library at 281-360-6804 or stop by our Adult Services desk on the 2nd floor.  Registration is required.
