QR Codes at the Library!

For your convenience, our Adult Services department will be including QR-codes with our New York Times Best Seller lists.  The QR codes for both Adult Fiction and Non-fiction best sellers will take you directly to our catalog!

Free QR reader applications are available for Apple and Android devices which can be downloaded to your device.  Once they are on your device, just scan the QR code that corresponds to the title that interests you. Scanning the code will take you directly to our catalog in order for you to check for availability and location.  If the item has a waiting list, you can request it from your device, using the same procedure for placing a request online.

Teen Gaming For the Family

During Summer, families are invited to the Teen Game Room to play one of our E-rated Wii or PS3 games!  Come join in the fun and try out our family friendly computer games any Thursday between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by parents. Standard Game Room rules for teens apply to all gamers. For more information, please contact the Adult Reference staff on the second floor or call the library at 281-360-6804.

Just in time for summer travel, Lynn Beckwith, local travel expert, will be presenting "Road Trip Vittles: Great Texas Food Stops".  If you want to know the best places to shop and eat while on the road, come join us on Saturday, June 16, at 1:00 p.m. in the library Meeting Room. No registration is required. Blood Drive @ the Library!

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will bring their mobile unit to the Kingwood Branch Library's parking lot on Tuesday, June 19th from 3 PM to 6 PM.  Call 713-791-6373 to make an appointment or contact the Center at www.giveblood.org for details.  Commit for life - give blood!
