Do You Want to Write A Fanfic?

This Monday at 3pm, teens 12-18 are invited to discover the wonderful world of Fan Fiction. We will be writing drabbles, fictional news articles, and generally playing around in our favorite fictional worlds and pretending the stories never ended. Fans of any video game, TV show, book/movie series, cartoon, anime, manga, etc. are welcome.

Apple Pie in July!

Join us at Eats & Treats Monday at 3 pm to create a fabulous apple pie. All teens 12-18 are welcome!

A Very Whovian Teen Time

Whovians unite! We will be having a Doctor Who party on Monday, July 7 at 3pm. There will be treats, games, crafts, and more... Maybe even a special time traveling device. All teens 12 - 18 are welcome.

Summer Reading @ Katherine Tyra

Summer Reading is in full swing! Don't forget to sign up at our website, www.hcpl.net. We have lots of great programs going on to.  On Monday we have our Teen Program: Eats and Treats.  We are making a Lemon Bundt Cake.  All teens are welcome. Families are welcome to stop by on Tuesday at 2 pm to pick up your ticket to create slime at 3 pm.

Who Am I Contest!

Summer Reading has officially started and we have a fantastic contest for teens ages 12-18. It's the Who Am I? contest! There are 15 scientists who need identifying based on the clues given to you. Get all of them right and you will be entered into a drawing for $50 Fandango gift card. Just pick up the clues and answer sheet at the Information Desk and turn in your answers by August 9.

Summer is really just around the corner! Introduce you're little one to the phases of the moon with this wonderfully illustrated picture book by Kevin Henkes. In Kitten's First Full Moon, having never seen a full moon, little kitten is trying to get to the big bowl of milk in the sky.  This book is a great way to teach science to toddlers and preschoolers!
