Hunger Games Casting Update!

It's casting time again and five more parts are claimed!  Effie Trinket, Rue, Thresh, Glimmer, and Prim have officially been cast.  Here they go:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prom Season horror....

It's Prom season and we would like to celebrate it by watching a very appropriate PG-13 movie that will in no way traumatize you.  You will be happy to attend your prom with no pscho ex- science teacher obsessing about a blond former cheerleader who starred in a hit television show about dancing in the sixties.  This non-traumatizing event will occur at 4pm on April 25th.  The dress is casual and refresments will be provided.

Hunger Games Casting News!!!!

According to several websites Peeta and Gale have been cast!!!!!  Liam Hemsworth has been cast as Gale and Josh Hutcherson has been cast as Peeta to join  Jennifer Lawrence as Catniss.  Casting looks good so far, now we are waiting on everyone else!

Flash Forward to 2012 London Olympics

Alright, I know I'm jumping the gun a little, but after the 2008 Beijing games, I couldn't help but start to wonder what the opening ceremonies would be like in London.  In my opinion, Harry Potter HAS to play a big part.  It is the biggest thing out of the UK since the

A Rose that Will Last Forever...

On April 4th we'll be using the most handy thing in the universe to make something beautiful, or funky, or silly, or however you want it to look!  Duct Tape Roses!  All teens are welcome for this sticky craft and snacks will be provided.

Something Sweet for the Teens...

On Monday, March 21st at 4:00pm we will be making a very sweet craft...Candy Sushi!  So all teens are welcome come on by.  We'll probably be watching a magical movie too...  so come and figure out what culinary delights you can create!

St. Patrick's Day Crafts!

Come and celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 9th and 16th at 5pm.  We will be be celebrating the luck of the Irish during our Tweener's program.  On Wednesday the 9th we'll be creating a stamp using a potato, and on the 16th all tweens will be able to make a good luck charm just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

All tweens in grades 4-7 are welcome, so come on over and celebrate the Luck O' the Irish!  Hope to see you there!

 

Hungers Games: The Movie

By now most people know that The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is going to be made into a movie set to come out on March 23rd, 2012.  Fans of the series have been going crazy because there STILL IS NO CAST!!! (or maybe it's just me that's going crazy)

Anyways, I thought that I would put together my fantasy cast.  So here's who I picked (and why): 

Survival

Alright, I am going on a survival training trip with my Karate class this weekend and decided it might be good to write one more blog entry in case I don't come back. :)  So of course, what am I going to write about?  Survival stories!

On Monday, February 28th we are going to watch a movie about a big blue evil genius.  Or is he evil?   And I guess genius is kinda debatable.  No it's not Papa Smurf!  Remember  I said BIG blue guy.  Oh well if you're interested and a teenager, show up at 4pm.  We'll have snacks  for free of course.  Hope to see you there!
