How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying!

This weekend Mayde Creek High School's Theatre Company is presenting the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying!  Their fall production of The Crucible was absolutely fantastic and I know I am going to see this musical while I can.  Let's all get out and support our local talent!  (And yes, I know how cheesy I am currently sounding)

Daily Quillers Creative Writing Club

Care to write a story about a phobia of oranges?  How about a Sci Fi adventure about an old man leaning against a truck?  If your interest is piqued, come check out the Daily Quillers, a creative writing club that meets once a month for teens.  The next meeting is on February 5th at 4:00pm.  All teens are welcome, so just show up!

When I was seven years old I went to a baseball game with my family.  I was living in Fremont, Ca and this was not an uncommon occurrence.  I ran to the front of the stands as batting practice was ending with my baseball cards in hand.  I was in luck.  This day, Mark McGwire was signing autographs.  I was small and cute, so I was able to wriggle my way to the front of the crowd.  "Mr. McGwire!  Mr. McGwire!"  I yelled in opposition to all those around me who were yelling out "Mark!".  He smiled and pointed at me.

Holiday Hooplah

Every year we have many things to remind us that the holidays have come... and gone.  This year the library had a holiday party that had everyone young and old creating Gingerbread houses.  Everyone had an amazining time and produced some amazing creations.  Check our calendar for future events!
