Love it or Hate it?

Every time my teens come into a program one topic inevitably comes up: Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.  The words hate and love come up equally in the conversation as different teens "express" there opinions of the series.  This is happening only more frequently since the second movie is about to come out and the hype is reaching an all time high...again.  So the figh-er, "discussion" continues.  Do you love it or hate it?

December Teen Events

Hey! Just wanted to remind everyone about our teen Anime Club that meets once a month.  This month we're meeting on November 20th at 4pm. All teens are welcome and we'll have free drinks and snacks as we watch the continuing saga of Lina Inverse, Gourry Gabriev, Amelia Wil Tesla Seyrunn, and Zelgadis Greywords on their quest to seek answers from the Claire Bible.  Of course all of this is accomplished with quite a bit of hilarity and sarcasm.  Hope to see you there.

Bewitched by "The Crucible"

Last night I went to see the final showing of the Mayde Creek High School Theatre Company's production of The Crucible.  First I'd like to comment on the fabulous parents who run the Booster Club.  Bravo!  As a former High School performing arts participant I know how important the Boosters are and I think the parents are doing a great job.

Not another High School Musical

Two weeks ago I walked into the theater at Katy Mills expecting to see a fluffy, no brain needed, teen flick.  I walked out of the theater duly impressed by the depth of the plot, heading straight to the music store to pick up the fabulous soundtrack.  The movie I saw was Bandslam
