Travel to Rome

All teens are invited to travel to Rome with us on Mon. June 24 at 3:30 for the Feast of Fortuna. There will be food, games, and art for all teens who wish to join us.

Teens Travel Underhill...

This Monday at 3:30 the teens are traveling through the world of Fairy Tales.  Go on a Scavenger Hunt to Grandmother's house.  Participate in sword fighting and an archery contest.  Play a life sized chess match.  As always snacks will be provided and teens 12-18 are welcome.

Travel to Krypton

Come and travel to Krypton on Monday at 3:30 pm in honor of the new Superman movie coming out later next week.  We'll be making super hero felties and having hero sandwiches all while watching a very famous movie starring Christopher Reeves in the late seventies.

Travel to Woodstock

The teens are going to Woodstock on Monday at 3:30pm. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 come and join us for some groovy crafts, music, and snacks.

End of School Party!

Come to our End of School Party on Wednesday at 4 pm.  We'll be watching a movie and have a special Hawaiian themed snack.  All ages are welcome!

IT HAS BEGUN!!!

Come and check out our Friends of the Library Silent Auction and Booksale.  Lot's of things to make bids on, such as gift cards and some brand new musical equipment from Line 6 as well as some very beautiful art. The Auction ends tomorrow at 3pm.

Volunteering for the Summer Reading Program

Schools almost out, the weather is getting warmer (kind of) and the librarians are busy planning.  You know what that means... It's almost time for the Summer Reading Program.  This summer, as always, there are many opportunities to volunteer.  In addition to the shelving and other year round volunteer jobs, we need help with programs.  If you are interested give us a call at 281-550-0885 and ask for any of the librarians.  

Mysterious Knitter at the Library...

The Library got Yarn Bombed!  This week we have been finding these cuddly yarn creatures all over the library.  Each was left with a note saying, "Smile you've just found a Random Act of Yarnie Kindness.  My name is _______ and I was left here to brighten someone's day.  Please take me home and enjoy me."  So from all of us here at Bear Creek to our mysterious knitter, thank you.

Lei Day 2013!

In Hawaii, May 1 is Lei Day!  Come and celebrate Lei Day at Tweeners on Wednesday at 5 pm.  All kids 10-12 are welcome!

Opera to Go!

Come and join us on Wednesday, April 24 at 4 pm for the Houston Grand Opera's perform the Opera to Go! production of Daniel and the Dream Catcher.  This program is for all ages so come and enjoy a fabulous performance.
