Somewhere in Time

Knight in Shining ArmorOne of the first romance novels I read was Jude Deveraux’s A Knight in Shining Armor, and ever since I have enjoyed time travel romances.  Stories where characters traverse time itself to be with the person they love are always especially poignant, and a person outside their own time sets up lots of opportunities for comedy as well.  So whether you enjoy reading about a heroine trying to adapt to a time with no electricity (or indoor plumbing!) or a hero attempting to drive a car instead of riding a horse, we have a book for you!

Don't Miss Out on Jennifer Crusie

Fast WomenSince I began working with Book Hunters, I have found that there are certain authors that I would recommend to almost any romance reader.   Jennifer Cruisie is one of those authors.   She writes wonderful comedic romances, full of quirky characters with upbeat and sometimes suspenseful plots.  She is also one of the most impassioned defenders of the romance genre (read her defense here.)  So if you haven’t read one of her books, try one today!

New Year, New Books

Readers Choose Best in Romance

Devil in WinterAll About Romance, one of my favorite romance websites, just released an updated list of the 100 best romance novels. The books were chosen by romance readers, and include everything from the classic romances of Jane Austen to the paranormal romances of J.R. Ward and Kresley Cole. The author with the most books included, Lisa Kleypas, has an amazing 15 books on the list; first runner up, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, has 9. Many of my personal favorite novels and authors made the cut. Some highlights for me are:
