Top titles in May

What did everyone read in May?  Take a look below at the titles Kingwood adult patrons checked out the most and see if you find a good read or two here at the beginning of the summer!

Fiction

  1. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, by Jamie Ford
  2. Lord of the Flies, by William Golding
  3. Wicked Appetite, by Janet Evanovich
  4. Fall of Giants, by Ken Follett
  5. Nowhere Near Respectable, by Mary Jo Putney

Chinese Brush Painting

One of the great things about Kingwood is the number of local patrons, clubs and organizations who are always eager to make use of the library to share their interests and talents with the rest of the community.  One of the ways in which they share is through our lobby display case.  Courtesy of Kingwood resident John Estes, we currently are pleased to have showcased through the month of May Chinese brush art, which was painted by Rose Marie Estes.  If you take a look, you just might get interested in this art form yourself and decide to check out some of the titles we have on the subject, which can be found in a catalog listing here.  So, next time you pass the front doors, be sure to glance to your right and enjoy the talent on display by a local Kingwood artist!
