If so, we're here to help. On Saturday January 19, sign up for a 10 to 15 minute session with our technology trainer, and get answers that will set you on the right track. Can't make it then? Call to set up a one-on-one appointment any time.

Computer Classes For the New Year

Computer ClassesMake good on your New Year's resolution and update your computer skills. Monday January 7 we will begin a whole new round of computer courses. Classes in Computer Basics are held every Monday at 10:15 AM or 4:00 PM, and Wednesdays at 1:15 PM or 4:00 PM. If you already have a handle on the basics, try our Microsoft Office Skills course which includes the programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Office classes are given every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 AM or 4:00 PM. Both Basic and Office Skills courses will run through to the end of February. No registration or fees are required, and seating is given on a first come, first serve basis. Arrive early, and bring a flash drive.

Microsoft Excel 2007 is Back!

Excel 2007Starting Tuesday, April 24 Microsoft Excel 2007 classes are back! Learn the basics of Excel to create tables of data as well as dynamic charts. One hour classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday. Morning sessions start at 10:15 AM both days, and afternoon sessions are held at 5:30 PM on Tuesdays, and 4:30 PM on Thursdays.

Read an eBook Week

eBook WeekNext week, March 4 -10, is Read an eBook Week! The popularity of eReader devices like the Kindle and Nook, and tablet computers like the iPad and Galaxy is explosive. The percentage of people who own one of these devices has more than doubled since last November. To celebrate, we will host a library eBook demonstration next Thursday, March 8 from 2:15 to 3:45. Due to the great diversity among these devices, the aim of this workshop is to demonstrate the download process. One-on-one, hands-on trainings can be scheduled for another time.
