Celebrate National Library Week @ your library!

Did you know that April 14 - April 20, 2013 is National Library Week? There are many ways to celebrate with us and show support of your local library. For some of those opportunities, please check out the American Library Association's link here. Also, please check out this link found of the Texas Library Association's site (here).

Check Out Session 4 on the Girl Scout Express!

Are you a Girl Scout Leader trying to help Scouts complete Girl Scout Journeys?  The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library continues its “Girl Scout Express!” program that's designed for Girl Scouts and Girl Scout Leaders with busy schedules. Session 4 written leader guides for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassador Scouts are now online. These Journeys are:

  • 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals! (Daisies)
  • A World of Girls (Brownies)
  • aMUSE (Juniors)
  • MEdia (Cadettes)
  • MISSION: SISTERHOOD! (Seniors)
  • BLISS: Live It! Give It! (Ambassadors)

 

'It's All Greek to Me Spelling Bee' Coming 4/18!

Please join The Clear Lake City County- Freeman Branch Library and Kat Sanford Productions as we say "Opa!" We invite you to a celebration Greek Heritage and a Kick off party for the 2013 Clear Lake Greek Festival on Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room on the 1st Floor. Come check out the books, food, and fun activities for the whole family. Participate in a mock Greek spelling bee contest.  You can call the library to register at (281)488-1906 or visit us online. 

Friday - TGIF Programs & UHCL/CLASP Present Lone Star Flight Museum: Flying Through History

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library TGIF Programs & UHCL/CLASP invite adults of all ages to join us this Friday, April 5th,at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Meeting Room. Larry Gregory, president, Lone Star Flight Museum, will tell us about this museum, now located at Ellington Airport.
