The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library TGIF Programs & UHCL/CLASP invite adults of all ages to join us this Friday, April 5th,at 10:30 am in the Marge Jacobson Meeting Room. Larry Gregory, president, Lone Star Flight Museum, will tell us about this museum, now located at Ellington Airport.

Adult Crafts-to-Go Celebrates Earth Day!

The April Adult “Crafts-to-Go!” program is now available. In honor of Earth Day (Monday, April 22) we are making Planet Earth Key Chains such as the one seen on the right. The key chain can be made anywhere. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library, while supplies last.

April Adult Programs

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library invites you to join us for our Adult Programs this April*.  We look forward to TGIF Programs, various book clubs (mystery, great books, two science fiction/fantasy clubs, and YA Book Club for Adults, Freeman Needlecrafters, Girl Scout Express, Adult Crafts to Go, Clear Lake Area Writers (CLAW), SCORE Counseling, “It’s All Greek to Me” Spelling Bee, and Greek Language Mango Workshop.

All programming is supported by the Friends of Freeman Library. The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library is located on 16616 Diana Lane, just off of Bay Area Boulevard.

TGIF Programs - Friday Film Series Continues This Friday!

Attention Adults of all ages! TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues this Friday, March 22nd. We look forward to showing a popular 1968 musical. The title of the movie is to be announced. It will begin at 10:15 AM.

We Have A Winner! - The 2013 President's Day Trivia Challenge

The winner of The 2013 President's Day Trivia Challenge was Richard Morgan (seen in the picture to the right with reference librarian Jorie Nissen). Mr. Morgan answered all 13 questions correctly. He also had the fortune of his name being drawn. Mr. Morgan was the proud recipient of a gift certificate to the Friends of Freeman Bookstore, located on the right side of the lobby of the Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library. 

The Friends of Freeman Bookstore is open Monday through Saturday the following hours: 

  • Monday  10:00-8:00

  • Tuesday   10:00-5:30

  • Wednesday  10:00-8:00
