TGIF Programs - Friday Film Series Continues This Friday!

Attention Adults of all ages! TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues this Friday, March 22nd. We look forward to showing a popular 1968 musical. The title of the movie is to be announced. It will begin at 10:15 AM.

We Have A Winner! - The 2013 President's Day Trivia Challenge

The winner of The 2013 President's Day Trivia Challenge was Richard Morgan (seen in the picture to the right with reference librarian Jorie Nissen). Mr. Morgan answered all 13 questions correctly. He also had the fortune of his name being drawn. Mr. Morgan was the proud recipient of a gift certificate to the Friends of Freeman Bookstore, located on the right side of the lobby of the Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library. 

The Friends of Freeman Bookstore is open Monday through Saturday the following hours: 

  • Monday  10:00-8:00

  • Tuesday   10:00-5:30

  • Wednesday  10:00-8:00

Session 3 of the Girl Scout Express is Now Online!

Are you a Girl Scout Leader trying to help Scouts complete Girl Scout Journeys?  The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library continues its “Girl Scout Express!” program that's designed for Girl Scouts and Girl Scout Leaders with busy schedules. On March 14th , Session 3 of  the written leader guides for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassador Scouts were released. These Journeys are:

Have you wondered how to do something on a computer, smart phone or device? Did someone give you a device but you’re not sure how to use it?  Please join us Friday, March 15th at 10:30 AM in the Marge Jacobson Community Room for Tech 411. We will have a panel ready for your questions.

Come to TGIF Programs' "Celebration of Women's Art" This Friday!

Please join us on Friday, March 8th at 10:30 am at the Marge Jacobson Meeting Room as we celebrate Women’s History Month. Meredith Layton, Young Adult Librarian at Freeman Branch Library, will talk to us about works of art created by women which can be viewed in the Houston area.
