"From Stress to Success" on the Girl Scout Express!

Are you a Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador Scout trying to earn Interest Project Awards?  The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library proudly presents the “Girl Scout Express!” designed for older Girl Scouts with busy schedules.

On Monday, November 7th, packets for the “From Stress to Success” Interest Project Award will be available through email or at the Second Floor Information Desk. This program is made possible by the Friends of Freeman Library.

Moody Gardens of the Future

Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library and the University of Houston-Clear Lake invite you to join us Friday, November 4th at 10:30 am in the Children's Activity Space for a presentation by Donita Brannon, Horticulture Exhibits Manager at Moody Gardens. Ms. Brannon will talk about “Moody Gardens of the Future: The Canopy, Otter Pond and More”. This under50over Program presentation is sponsored by both The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) and The Clear Lake Association of Senior Programs (CLASP).

Light refreshments are provided by the Friends of Freeman.

Adult Crafts-to-Go! Recognizes Native American Heritage Month

The Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library will offer the continuation of the “Crafts- to-Go!” program in November in conjunction with Native American Heritage Month.  We're making Wampanoag Medallion necklaces. This project can be made anywhere and will be available while supplies last. All materials needed are included within the bag, compliments of the Friends of Freeman Library.

Coming this Friday!

The Clear Lake City - County Freeman Branch Library can't wait until this Friday when the Digital Bookmobile visits. This is a hands-on approach which helps library members with eBooks, eAudio, and portable reading devices. The Digital Bookmobile will be parked on the Diana Lane side of Freeman Branch Library from 10 AM to 2 PM. Snacks are made possible by the Friends of Freeman Library and the JSC Federal Credit Union.

Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library under50over Program and the Clear Lake Association of Senior Programs (CLASP) of University of Houston-Clear Lake invite you to join us on Friday, October 21st at 10:30 am in the Children's Activity Space to learn how to make memoirs from your memories. Dion McInnis, Associate Vice President for University Advancement at UHCL is the speaker for this program series.
