Variety Show

The fun-filled Variety Show was on Thursday June 24, 10:30am.   Upcoming: ClownHouston will create amazing animals with balloons, July 1, 3 pm.  Ages 6 and up.

Marionette Playhouse

Hope you enjoyed seeing Swimmy the Neon Fish, an awesome black light puppet show!  Presented by Jean Kuecher's Marionette Playhouse on June 17th.   

Summer Reading Program

The summer reading program is now for all ages.  Sign-up online between Fri. June 4th and Sat. Aug. 7 and record the books you read.  Also check the branch webpage calendar for summer activities. For school age children the activities include: Imagination Station, Marionette Playhouse, variety show, balloon fun, Domino's Pizza Show, Marsha's Petting Zoo (all ages), Ronald McDonald Makes It Magic, Barmollys Snake Show, and Mad Science.  For teens there will be a drawing contest, a movie, and a book discussion.  Join us for a summer of fun!

Asian Pacific Heritage Month

Hope yoy enjoyed the crafts!  Thursday, May 13, 4pm.  We celebrated Asian Pacific Heritage Month by making crafts that represent different cultures. 

Friends of the Library--General Meeting

The Friends of the Library held their Annual General Meeting on May 12, 2:30pm.  This great group supports the library in many different ways.

You do have time to learn something new! Check out one of the Great Courses prepared by the Teaching Company.  Topics include American history, world history, literature, music, art, religion and biography.   Request a title online or browse the CD's and DVD's the next time you are in the library.  Turn your next commute into a learning opportunity.
