Landing Your First Job

resumeWorkforce Solutions will be hosting a seminar aimed at teens titled "Landing Your First Job" at the Kingwood Branch Library in the Training Lab.  This seminar will take place on both Saturday, May 18th and Saturday, May 25th at 10 a.m.  This seminar is free of charge and will focus on applying for jobs, interviewing skills, and resumes.  All skills and tips that can be applied to both jobs and colleges.  For more information, call Leanne, YA Librarian for more information at 281-360-6804.

Teen Advisory Board @ Kingwood Library

The Kingwood Teen Advisory Board will have its November meeting on Monday, November 26th at 6:30pm in the Teen Room.  The Teen Advisory Board is open to all teens ages 12-18 or in grades 6-8.  This is a great way to meet new friends, help plan library programs, develop our collection, and earn community volunteer hours!  Call Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804 for more information.
 

Candy Sushi @ Kingwood Library!

candy sushiLooking for something to do?  Love candy? Make a snack while your hanging out in the teen room!  Monday, September, 24th at 3:30 p.m., we will be making candy sushi in the Teen Room at the Kingwood Library.  This is a program for teens only, ages 12-18.  Stop by and make some candy sushi before you use our teen computers or game room!  Supplies are provided by the library.  For more information, call, 281-360-6804.  or stop by and ask YA Librarian Leanne.
