Teen Craftastic: Mardi Gras Masks

No need to go to New Orleans, celebrate Mardi Gras right here.  On Tuesday, March 4th @ 4:30pm, we will be making Mardi Gras masks in the Teen Area of the Kingwood Library.  This program is for teens and tweens ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12.  All materials are generously provided by FOLK; supplies are limited.  For more information, contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804.

YA Book Club Meeting

The YA Book Club will meet this Thursday at 6pm.  This month we will be discussing any book you’ve read or loved or hated within the past few months.  This club is for teen and tween readers, and adults who love YA lit.  I'll be reading Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.  We meet upstairs in the 2nd floor Conference Room.  Contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804 for more information.

Find Your True Book Love with a Blind Date with a Book

Looking for something new this February?  Love? Adventure? Excitement?  Then try our Blind Date with a Book!  The display will be up now until February 22nd (or until there are no more dates left to be checked out).  Books have been chose from a variety of YA genres and age groups from 6th – 12th grade.  Some are new releases and some are oldies, but goodies.  So stop by the Teen Area and check out a Blind Date with a Book.  You know you want to.  Contact Leanne, YA Librarian, 281-360-6804 for more information.

Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls!

sugar skullsKingwood area teens, grades 6-12, are invited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by decorating Day of the Dead themed Sugar Skulls!  This program will take place Saturday, September 28th in the second floor Teen Area.  The program will start at 11am, and will run until 4pm or until supplies run out.
