Did you ever wonder what happens to the reviews you write for the Adult Summer Reading Program?  For one thing, they're linked to the library's catalog and posted on the ASRP page of the library's website.  Harris County readers can use them to help decide what they might like to read next, based on your recommendations.  Librarians also read these reviews to keep in touch with popular titles and discover new titles that would be good to add to the library's collection.  Just this month, these titles (and more!) were ordered based on positive Reader Nation reviews:

My reading tastes run almost exclusively to fiction.  But, every now and again, I get a desire to immerse myself in biographies or memoirs.  When I was in the third grade, I read our entire classroom collection of biographies of famous Americans.  Perhaps it serves as a more grounded version of my fiction bibliotherapy -- taking a vacation from my life and experiencing someone else's thoughts and world.  I've got my hands on a particularly good crop of biographies and memoirs right now, some of which you might also enjoy:
