HAVE YOU HAD A CARD?

A recent discussion on public radio about a lost library reminds me how fortunate we are to have one right in our neighborhood. Ariel Dorfman, an author in exile from Chile also talked about his vision of a world where everybody has access to the library. "The library", he explained "is where all that was written ever, digital or not comes together and jostles together in one mind, the gigantic mind of the wondrous, glorious humanity  that we are. Everybody should know they have the desire and the possibility of having access to a library". We can all agree with him. The library has increasingly become an essential part of our life. It is the indication of the privilege that a developed country can provide its citizens. It measures the richness of our life.

Have you had a library card? Come to Maud Marks today to explore all the possibilities to enrich your life.
