Book saleThe Friends of the Fairbanks Library are planning a book sale for Saturday, April 30, from 10:00-3:00. If you have any books, VHS tapes, DVDs, books on tape, books on CD, or music CDs that you are not using and that are in VERY GOOD condition, please donate them to the Friends of the Library. Your donations are tax deductible and all proceeds benefit the Fairbanks Library and help provide funding for library programs and materials.  [Clipart ©JupiterImages.]

Tax formsWe have volunteers from AARP here to help people (regardless of age) complete their federal income tax forms on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1 pm – 5 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am – 2 pm.  Here’s a friendly warning:  The longer you put it off, the bigger the crowd will be.

Rolling Blackouts

Unfortunately, the library is not exempt from rolling blackouts.  Our electricity has been off three times so far today.  Each time it comes back on, we have to wait for our computer server to reboot (which takes a while) before we can turn the other computers back on.  We appreciate your patience during this trying time.
