Got fines?

Dollar signIf you have an email address and you have library fines of more than $1.00, you can pay them online with a debit or credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Just go to the My Account/Renew link on our web site to get started. You will need your library card number and PIN. When you get to the online payments page, enter how much you want to pay and your debit or credit card information. Be sure to PRINT YOUR PAYMENT CONFIRMATION! Note: If you need to pay for a LOST library item, it’s best to do that in person, if possible.

Summer Reading Ends Soon

Gift cardThe Summer Reading Programs officially end on Saturday, August 7. So, hurry up and record all the books you’ve read since June 4. For kids and teens, it could mean a free book and maybe a satin ribbon. For adults, reading and logging 4 books means a chance at a bookstore gift card valued at $50-$200! If you have questions, ask the library staff.

New ESL class

ESL classBeginning August 14, the Fairbanks Library will have a new class for adults who want to learn English. The class will meet every Saturday morning from 10:00am-12:00 pm. Please visit or call the library at (713) 466-4438 to register.

What a Woman!

We have a customer [We’ll call her Mrs. O] who loves plants of all kinds (outdoor, potted, silk) and is happy to share them and some charming knickknacks and other decorative items with the library. She comes in every week or so and waters the plants that need water and swaps out plants and decorations. She makes a very big difference in the appearance of the library.
