The theme of this year's Summer Reading Program has been trains, and everyone had a great time last Wednesday partiicipating in train related games. We had relay games of coal toss, pin the wheels on the train, and hula hoop train! Toot, toot!
As always, the ferrets stole the show at their annual appearance at West University Library. Children learned interesting facts about ferrets and how to care for them, and were even allowed to hold them. The ferrets enjoyed their time on center stage, although I'm sure they enjoyed a good nap after the program!
Come enjoy the fun of train - themed activities at the West University Library on Wednesday, July 21. We'll run several relay games of coal toss, hula hoop train and pin the wheel on the engine! This program is for children ages 4 to 11 years.
Both staff and children enjoyed themselves on our pizza dough day. Pizza was stretched, tossed, and dropped, but in the end everyone ended up with a couple of freshly baked slices for our efforts. A fun time was had by all!
Meet several types of mammals up close at a West University Library program on Wednesday, July 7 at 3 PM. The Traveling Naturalist will bring an assortment of animals including an opossum and flying squirrel. This program is for children ages 5 - 12 years.
